Privacy
AC Nexus Trading Inc. respects the privacy of buyers, suppliers, visitors and anyone who contacts us. This section explains how information is handled when you use acnexustrading.com, send a requirement, apply to be a supplier, or correspond with us in the ordinary course of trade.
What we collect
Most of what we hold is business information rather than personal information, but the two arrive together and we treat both carefully.
- From buyers: your name, company, role, email address, telephone number if you give one, delivery destination, the requirement itself, and any drawings, specifications or attachments you send.
- From suppliers: your company details and country of registration, a contact person, the categories and capabilities you claim, certifications, and the pricing and terms in an offer. A supplier application also creates a login, so it sets a password you choose — we store it hashed and cannot read it.
- From anyone using this website: basic technical information such as browser type, device information, referring page and interaction data, for security and to keep the site working.
How we use it
To answer enquiries, prepare quotations, assess and approve suppliers, place and manage orders, arrange delivery and documentation, provide support, maintain our own business and accounting records, and meet legal obligations including customs, tax and sanctions requirements.
What we do not share, and why that is the point
We are an intermediary, and keeping the two sides apart is not a courtesy — it is the service.
- A supplier is not told who the buyer is. An enquiry carries a specification prepared from your requirement, without your identity, your budget, or the names of anyone else approached.
- A buyer is not shown supplier costs, competing offers or internal notes.
- A supplier is not shown what we sold at, or what anyone else offered.
- Where a destination must be disclosed to price freight or to ship goods, that is a specific and recorded step, and we tell the buyer.
We do not sell, rent or trade contact information, and we do not build lists from what passes across the desk.
Service providers
We use service providers for email delivery, website and software infrastructure, freight, customs brokerage and professional services. Information is shared with them only as reasonably required to do the work or to comply with the law, and not for their own purposes.
Where information is held
International trade means information crosses borders: a supplier in another country receives the specification they must price, and a carrier or customs authority receives what a shipment requires. Information held by a service provider may be stored or processed outside Canada and is then subject to the laws of that country.
Spam and abuse prevention
Forms on this website are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a submission comes from a person rather than an automated script. It runs invisibly, so there is nothing to click. To do this it processes technical signals such as your IP address, browser user-agent and similar device information. See Cloudflare’s Turnstile Privacy Addendum for how that data is handled.
Retention and security
Trading records are kept as long as they are needed for the transaction, for our business and accounting records, for dispute resolution, and for as long as tax, customs and other law requires — which for commercial records is generally a period of years rather than months. Reasonable safeguards are used, but no internet or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your choices
You may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw consent where consent is what we rely on. Some records must be retained for legal or accounting reasons even after a relationship ends, and we will tell you when that is the case. Write to [email protected].
Children
This is a business-to-business website. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Email and CASL
Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation governs commercial electronic messages sent to recipients in Canada. Here is how we apply it.
Consent
We send commercial email only where we have consent. That is usually express consent — you asked to hear from us, by ticking the box on one of our forms yourself — or implied consent arising from an existing business relationship, such as a recent enquiry, quotation, order or supplier application. We do not buy, rent or scrape email lists, and a business card handed over at a meeting is not treated as a subscription.
The newsletter box on our enquiry and supplier forms is never pre-ticked, and it is labelled as separate from the thing you came to do, because consent bundled into a transaction is not consent anybody gave knowingly.
What is and is not marketing
Messages about a live requirement, quotation, order, shipment or supplier application are part of the work you asked us to do. They are transactional and are sent whether or not you have opted into anything. Marketing is separate, is infrequent, and is what this section is about.
Identifying ourselves
Every commercial message identifies AC Nexus Trading Inc. by name, gives a valid postal address and provides a working contact address. Our mailing address is Suite 205, 3489 Kingston Road, Toronto, ON M1M 1R4.
Unsubscribing
Every commercial message carries a working unsubscribe link. Unsubscribe requests are actioned promptly and, at the latest, within ten business days as CASL requires. You can also write to [email protected] and we will remove you. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop messages about a transaction in progress — that would be us failing to do the job.
Records
We keep a record of when and how consent was obtained, and of unsubscribe requests, for as long as CASL requires.
Terms of business
These are the general conditions for using acnexustrading.com and for trading with AC Nexus Trading Inc., a company federally incorporated in Canada and extra-provincially registered in Ontario. They are not a substitute for the specific terms of a transaction: a quotation, purchase order, sales contract or written agreement may include additional or different terms, and for the transaction it covers, that document prevails.
Who we are in the transaction
We trade as principal, not as an agent. When you accept our quotation you contract with AC Nexus Trading Inc., and we contract separately with our supplier. You have no contract with our supplier and they have none with you. This is what allows us to hold one set of terms with you, in one currency.
Quotations
A quotation is an offer from us, based on the information supplied and on a supplier offer behind it. Each quotation states its validity date, its currency, the delivery term and what acceptance means. A quotation that has expired, been superseded or been withdrawn cannot be accepted. Applicable taxes, duties and delivery costs are added unless the quotation states that they are included.
An issued quotation is not amended after the fact. If the underlying cost changes, a new version is prepared and identified as superseding the earlier one.
Specifications and acceptance
Buyers are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the specification supplied, including grade, standard, dimensions, tolerance, packaging, labelling and any regulatory requirement applying at the destination. Where a supplier offers something that differs from the specification, we identify the difference; it is the buyer’s decision whether it is acceptable. Goods supplied against an accepted equivalent are not a non-conformity.
Orders, changes and cancellation
Acceptance of a quotation authorises us to place the corresponding supplier orders. Tell us immediately about any change or cancellation. Once a supplier order is placed, materials are committed or production has begun, a change may not be possible and costs already incurred may apply. International orders frequently require a deposit, because the supplier requires one.
Delivery terms, risk and title
The delivery term stated on the quotation governs the allocation of cost and risk; the import and export page explains the common terms in plain language. Delivery dates are estimates based on supplier lead times and carrier schedules, and are not guaranteed unless a quotation says so expressly. Title to goods passes on payment in full unless agreed otherwise in writing.
Payment
Payment terms are stated on the quotation or invoice. Amounts are payable in the currency stated. Where an account is overdue we may suspend further supply and recover reasonable costs of collection.
Inspection and claims
Inspect goods promptly on arrival. Shortage, damage and non-conformity claims are time-limited by carriers, insurers and suppliers, so a late report may be unrecoverable however genuine it is. The claim procedure and its time limits are set out in the quotation and contract for each transaction, because they follow the carrier and supplier terms behind that shipment rather than a single rule we could state here.
Compliance
Both parties must comply with applicable sanctions, export control, customs and product regulation. We may decline or halt a transaction where doing so is necessary to comply, and we will say so. Our compliance obligations and screening are set out in the contract documents for each transaction.
Suppliers
Approval to receive enquiries from us is granted on the basis of the conduct requirements in our supplier agreement, which is provided to a supplier during approval. Approval means we are willing to send you enquiries. It is not an endorsement, not an exclusive arrangement and not a commitment to any volume, and it may be withdrawn.
Confidentiality
Pricing, specifications, supplier identities and commercial terms exchanged with us are confidential to the relationship in which they were shared. This is reciprocal: what a buyer tells us is not passed to suppliers, and what a supplier quotes is not passed to buyers.
Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, and except where a signed agreement provides otherwise, our liability arising out of a transaction is limited to the price paid for the goods giving rise to the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss including loss of profit, loss of production or loss of contract.
Website use
Website content is general information and may change. Category listings describe where we hold assessed suppliers; they are not an offer to sell and not a statement of stock. Our name, branding and original content may not be reproduced without permission.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, and the courts of Ontario have jurisdiction, except where a signed agreement for a particular transaction provides otherwise.
Accessibility
AC Nexus Trading Inc. is committed to providing goods, services and information in a way that respects the dignity and independence of people with disabilities, in keeping with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act and the Ontario Human Rights Code.
Serving people
- We communicate in the way that works for the person we are dealing with — by telephone, by email, or in writing.
- Assistive devices, service animals and support persons are welcome wherever we meet.
- Where a document we have sent is not usable for you, we will provide the information in another format on request and at no additional cost.
This website
The site is built to be usable with a keyboard alone and with a screen reader: headings are structured in order, images that carry meaning have alternative text, forms have labels attached to their fields, and colour is not used as the only way of conveying information. We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA.
We are not claiming perfection. Automated checking catches some problems and misses others, and embedded third-party content such as a map is outside our control. If something on this site blocks you, telling us is the fastest way it gets fixed.
Requesting an accommodation or reporting a barrier
Telephone +1 (416) 949-0101 during office hours, write to [email protected], or send it by post to AC Nexus Trading Inc., Suite 205, 3489 Kingston Road, Toronto, ON M1M 1R4. Tell us what you were trying to do and what got in the way. We will acknowledge it, tell you what we can do, and do it. Use whichever of the three works for you — if this website is itself the barrier, the telephone does not depend on it.
Feedback and this statement
Feedback about accessibility is welcome in any format and is reviewed by a person. This statement is available in another format on request.

This page describes how we operate. It is written in plain language for the people we deal with and is not legal advice. Where a quotation, purchase order or written agreement covers the same ground, that document governs the transaction it belongs to. If this page changes materially we will update it; the version you are reading is the one that applies.
