Wholesale & distribution

Volume supply, quoted per unit.

For retailers, distributors, processors and food service buyers who need a repeatable line rather than a one-off container.

A wholesale programme is a different question from a single purchase

A one-off shipment has to arrive. A programme has to keep arriving, at a price that holds and a quality that does not drift between lots. Those need different things from a supplier, so we ask different questions: how often, in what volume, to what tolerance, and what happens when a lot is out of specification.

We quote per unit with the pack size stated, because that is the number that goes into your own costing. And we are explicit about what is fixed and what is indicative — a price that is only good for one lot is useful information, not a weaker offer.

What we need to quote a programme

Volume and frequency

Per order and per period. "A container a month" and "twelve containers a year" are not the same enquiry.

Pack and label

Pack size, inner and outer, and any labelling or bilingual requirement for the Canadian market.

Quality tolerance

What is acceptable variation between lots, and what is not. This is what a specification is for.

Receiving point

Warehouse, distribution centre or direct to store, and whether you need palletised delivery.

Lead time you can live with

The honest one. An optimistic lead time is discovered at the worst possible moment.

How you want to pay

Terms are part of the price. Tell us what works and we will tell you what it costs.

Planning a wholesale line?

Send the product, the volume and the frequency. We will tell you what is realistic before we approach anybody on your behalf.
